In a YouTube video, Jesse Ventura indicated the idea of having the candidates running for elective office without an indication of the political affiliation under the candidate name during voting. Jesse indicated the voting public would therefore have to read or become familiar with the candidate’s position(s) and would eliminate the idea of picking a candidate is like picking a horse at a race. Secondly, Jesse indicated there should also be the ability to have a category for each elected position listed as a “Vote of No-Confidence” for that particular elected office. I would go one step further and advocate for law in each state and also a Congressional law for President, that stated if more than 50% plus one vote was for the "No-Confidence" option, then a new election would be called with all new candidates running for that specific elective office. (What a complete political “game-changer”). Jesse Ventura, you are my hero.
Communications:
If elected, I would provide a weekly podcast to relay information about the happenings, the issues, and decisions made in Congress. A way for information to flow from DC to the people of the 6th Congressional District. Alternatively, I would also provide quarterly town-hall meetings, around cities of the 6th Congressional District so people could ask questions of me and express their concerns and issues.
Since Congress is dysfunctional, what if 10% of both houses of Congress were other than Republican or Democratic representatives? This would allow both Democrats (45%) and Republicans (45%) to convince the other independent representatives (about 5%) to reach a compromise in order to have any laws/bills passed in US Congress. This proposition could overcome the gridlock.
Requiring all TV and radio stations to provide free air time for “ political info-mericals”. This would give all political candidates access to free TV, and radio air time. Broadcast time allotted to all candidates, no exceptions. Would create a way to allow free access of written info for all candidates in local newspapers.
No political polls to be conducted within 4 months of an election. The election of all US representatives (local and national) needs to be based on the conviction of individual evaluation, not on the politics of a political poll.
1 New Federal Home Mortgage Loan & Bond Program - more equity in a shorter time period using profits, about 10 billion/yr, to offset SS/Medicare payments - federal gov is now competing with banks for loans

There needs to be a new ideal model for the candidate of US President which is expressively represented by retired BG Robert Spalding (please view the YouTube video by Patrick Bet-David). Robert Spalding needs to run as an independent candidate for President, which will probably end in a constitutional crisis highlighting the inequity of the Electoral College. Three of the last Presidents had no military experience and only one was a half-time reserve officer. Their lack of military experience is exemplified by poor decisions of the last 4 presidents and given the world of competing global economics and because of former communist countries exerting their military prowess a presidential candidate needs to posses a higher intellect and a higher skill set. All future Presidents need to have extensive military and managerial experience and board technical experience other than just having a law degree or serving in Congress. The United States needs a president like Robert Spalding and hope most middle class Americans would agree.
Given the four (4) loan & bonds proposals as part of the platform of
“RPT 50 + 1”, for homes, autos, businesses, and education coupled with the need to fix this country’s electrical grid, fix its decrepit bridges, and fix the Louisiana coastline, plus the necessity to develop fusion power and implementation of Miss River water pipeline with initiatives for installing individual wind/solar energy systems there should be no reason why this country could not have 100% employment in the US. I believe the reason for never having 100% employment in this country’s history is both political and economic. That is, the political system has never, fostered, insured & developed the economic opportunity to allow 100% employment.

Hello, middle-class citizens of Louisiana 6th Congressional District.
I believe that Congress is broken, dysfunctional, ineffective, inefficient, and much new independent representation is needed, therefore the "status quo" must go. Please vote for me, Richard “RPT” Torregano, #44, for US Representative La 6th Congressional District. I have a platform that most middle-class Americans should appreciate. A famous president once said, “ask...what you can do for your country”. I respond by running for US Congress and state that “running for elective office must be the epitome of living in a representative democracy”. I have a plan, a method to accomplish it, and my head and heart are in the right place. Furthermore, middle-class Americans are being pushed aside, cast aside, and are not properly represented, this needs to change.
I have been a resident of the Baton Rouge/Destrehan/New Orleans area for the last 67 years, except for 4 years while in the US Marine Corps. I was a Radio Battalion Marine, had a top-secret clearance, sometimes working indirectly working for the NSA, while stationed at Camp Geiger NC. I joined the La Air National Guard in 1980 and retired in 1999 as a Captain. I have a BS degree from UNO and a BS degree from Louisiana Tech University. I have worked as an electronic/instrument technician with numerous companies before retiring in 2017. Retired, I still fish in the same brackish waters of Lake Borgne and the Rigolets as when I was a boy.
I have been an independent registered voter for the last 27 years and have now run for US Congress three times and state office once. I am just a qualified as the incumbent, but uniquely more qualified, because I am a retired veteran, have two college degrees, independent in decision making (not tied to any party, or Jindal, Breaux, or Tauzin), have a better plan to save the Louisiana coast by redirecting the “Federal GasolineTax”, have a better plan for Louisiana commercial fishermen by calling for a Louisiana water pipeline to divert Mississippi River floodwater. Also, I will not accept any money from any PAC or special interest group and I support the Anti-Corruption Act.
But, no matter how creative and intuitive my platform maybe, I am not under the illusion that any of my proposals listed in my platform will come to fruition given the 50 +1 votes required for the passage of these proposals. So that is why my campaign slogan is, “The Status Quo - Must Go”. Therefore, much new blood is needed in Congress. If elected, I would make it my elective promise to see that I would replace about 30% of Congress with independent representation, especially with any members of the clergy (mostly retired, brothers, sisters, rabbis, pastors, ministers, priests, nuns, etc.) that could agree to 80% of my platform proposals (the main 11 with the total of about 50). Since the clergy is educated, trustworthy, ethical, knowledgeable, independent, experienced, especially in personal and community problems, these new Representatives and Senators could provide the new direction needed to overcome the stalemate and gridlock in Congress.
I would actively promote new federal loans for housing, auto, employee-owned businesses, education, coupled to federal bond programs which would be used as a conservative saving plan for all US citizens. I would also support a flat-rate income tax (about 10% for individuals and 30% for large businesses & an additional 2% for all towards the national debt), a single-payer healthcare plan based on age and income, and a virtual border wall with a new citizenship requirement.

The idea behind "50 +1" is getting at least 130 to 160 independent members of the House and 35 independent members of the Senate elected to Congress and have a certain segment of the population that most Americans would agree that they could trust, beyond reproach, non-political, ethical and capable of problem solving, running for Congress. These would include: Protestant Ministers, Jewish Rabbis, Catholic Priests & Nuns, Sisters & Brothers from the Holy Cross, Jesuits, Holy Name, Dominican, Christian Brothers, etc. religious organizations, in an attempt to point Congress in a new direction. I would hope that at least 51% of the voting population would agree to this idea/philosophy (The 2nd Part) and vote in the next elections to have this segment of the population (clergy, ministers, rabbis. etc.) elected into Congress within the next two elections. President Kennedy once stated, "... ask what you can do for your country". The answer must be, "run for political office". "Running for Office" must become the epitome in a representative-democracy.
Federal Home Mortgage Loans - for almost all purchases of US homes - interest on loans would not be front-end loaded - about 10 billion a year on interest on loans - max in 30 years, about 300 billion - profits from loans to be used to offset Medicare and Social Security payments/entitlements. The Federal Government would now earn money, rather than just collecting taxes. More equity would be obtained in a shorter period of time. Interest payments would be divided equally among the number of total monthly mortgage payments. To be managed by third party accounting firms and overseen by a Congressional committee. Bonds would be issued (like Savings Bonds) to raise money for home mortgages. Loans and bonds would be used as a personal savings tool and a secure US investment savings strategy.
Same type program as mortgage loan program - for almost all purchases of motor vehicles in the US - interest on loans would not be not front-end loaded - about 7 billion a year earned in interest - never have your car loan be "under-water" - profits from loans goes toward the rehabilitation of disabled war veterans, expansion & added funding of the VA, the homeless, the starving poor, special loans for disabled war veterans, etc. To be managed by a third party entity and overseen by a Congressional committee. Bonds to be issued to raise money for the auto loan program and also to be used as a personal secure saving option.
Employees own business - for the creation of new US businesses - Interest on loans would not be front-end loaded - for developing only co-operative business organizations (employee-owned business) - profits from loans to finance crash program for fusion power. To be managed by third-party entity and overseen by a Congressional committee.
Use all three types of bonds as a safe investment tool like Treasury Bonds or Savings Bonds. All three above programs would accelerate the growth of the economy. Would not allow big businesses/gov to slow down economic growth based on some arbitrary growth rate.
Yes, the federal government would be competing with banks for these loans. However, better for the federal government to earn money and infuse middle-class businesses, rather than profits going to the banking industry.
Also, place some percentage of the revenues from traditional Social Security payments & the new Super US Health Insurance program payments into these new federal loans and maybe into the Stock Market, rather than Congress spending the profits made from these loans on pork-belly projects and Congressional salaries and retirement.
Federal government to question/investigate a continuing escalating problem of student loans for college education. Seems to be some type of questionable agreement between universities and the banking industry, by providing easy educational loans to college students. Both institutions seem to be making an obscene amount of money. In response to this crisis, the federal government needs to get involved offering low interest, non front end loaded loans (and a reduction in repayment of loans for armed service commitment) for college education. The federal government would now be competing with the banks for college loans. Some money made on these loans would go to fund the tuition of the top 10% of students entering college, otherwise unable to afford a college education, based on admission scores,
Since the price of college has sky-rocketed for some unknown reasons, the federal government also needs to get involved and make an offer to all colleges, by asking them to reduce tuition accordingly or pay a percentage surcharge for all NSF funds granted to these colleges. The government would also initiate a percentage tax on all college tuition fees for those colleges not reducing their college tuition, until an independent 3rd party accounting firm is satisfied with its reduction relative to other colleges and the historical price of college tuition is enacted. Also to make this knowledge known to the public and what colleges accepted these "terms and conditions" could have an effect on the enrollment of these colleges and their bottom line. A type of “quid-pro-quo” for the equality of a college education. To attract money for these new tuition loans, the Federal government would also issue "Tuition Bonds" and these bonds again would be another investment tool.
Development and manufacture of Fusion Power for all new commercial produced AC electricity within the next 10 years - using the by-product of fusion-powered electricity of hydrogen gas for fuel in automobiles - crash program paid by the profits from Federal Co-Operative Business loan program.
Secondly, institute and develop Thorium molten salt reactor power plants, as prescribed by Kirk Sorensen (see Kirk's YouTube videos) to convert water into hydrogen and oxygen using the hydrogen gas as a transportation fuel until fusion power is developed for commercial AC power. Automobiles could now run on gasoline or electricity or natural gas or hydrogen-powered, all of which would help reduce CO2 emissions. Also, employ the technology of "Liquid Metal Battery" as prescribed by Donald R Sodoway (see his YouTube videos) to help the US electrical grid overcome potential "brownouts" and "electrical black-outs" due to an increase of commercial AC power usage resulting from daily re-charging of electric cars.
A partial solution to the reduction of greenhouse gases is the development of efficient public transportation (for example high-speed electric rail) because there will never be enough road-way to efficiently move an increasing population. So moving people in bulk is more efficient than trying to move a large bulk of people independently by use of personal motorized vehicles. Unfortunately, people are too selfish to give up their personal vehicles, so it must be made very economical and convenient for people to use public transportation.
Remove the 18.4 cents personal tax on gasoline & diesel (about $5.50 per tank for passenger vehicles) and place a tax on the companies refining the oil and raise the tax to 20 cents a gallon. Use the revenue (about $29 billion/yr = 145 billion gallons of gasoline used yearly x 20 cents) from the fuel tax specifically for the below projects (⅓ revenue for each project):
1 Upgrading/overhauling the AC electrical grid in the country - required for the addition of new electric cars and outdated electrical sub-systems - $9 billion
2 Refurbishing/repairing national bridges - $9 billion
3 Coastal Restoration - fixing/upgrading the coastline starting in southern Louisiana, then around New York, then Florida, then the Eastern Seaboard, etc. - continuing -projects - $9 billion

The solution to flooding in the central US states and Louisiana.
Creation/Construction of pipeline (Corps of Engineers project) diverting freshwater from the Mississippi River along and through the southwest and into California (win/win for all involved and all states involved). Since the polluted (phosphate and nitrate runoff) river water contaminates the Gulf of Mexico waters, this river water could be used for agriculture and drinking water for the north-west and western states, especially California and Arizona. Due to the recent openings of the Bonnet-Carre Spillway in Louisiana, three times in the last 2 years, the water diversion has devastated the Louisiana seafood industry and therefore a new river water displacement process for the lower Mississippi, the Ohio and Missouri valley (underground water pipelines) would benefit the Gulf of Mexico, the Louisiana Seafood industry, agriculture in the southwest & west and possibly provide a new drinking water source for all western states. The Morganza and Bonnet-Carre spillways are 20th century (hundred-year-old) solutions to river flooding in Louisiana, whereas the central US states and Louisiana needs 21st-century solutions. A water pipeline is needed.
This plan could include paid sick leave

Premiums provided by high-income individuals would offset the cost of people out of work. Federal Government to collect the percentage approximately equal to 1/10 the person's age and based on the total yearly income (up to 2 million dollars) on all individuals (working or retired, until death) above the age of 19 in the U.S. and all territories, for the financial requirement, to provide medical, health, hospital, drug coverage, mental health, dental, insurance. A premium of 4% to 8% for a non-working spouse or any family member residing at home, depending on the age of the spouse, and 4% for each child (maximum 18%) until children enter college or work, or until age 19. Individuals planning to attend college would be covered until high-school graduation or age 19 whichever is first and yearly premium deficits to be made up by adding 1% each year to an individual's health care account until the amount of unpaid % is made up (Example: 5 years in college or trade school or medical school, so 4% x 5 years = 20%. Therefore, 20 years of additional 1% yearly wage deducted).
Individuals who are accident-prone, unlucky, have many hospital occurrences (drug problems, fights, engage in risky behavior, engage in dangerous sports-activities, or smoke, etc.) all would pay a higher percentage of income.
All people with jobs, part-time or full time would pay the required percentage, regardless of the amount of income until death. Employers could pay for the employee’s new Super Health Insurance premiums as part of the employees' benefits.
Medicaid to be eliminated when the new health care bill is signed into law.
Medicare to be phased out, and all new people entering the workforce would be under the new Super Health Plan system.
Government to collect monies (health insurance premiums) through monthly payroll deductions, but managed by 3rd party companies (usually by CPAs and/or private accounting companies) to administer services and pay doctors, hospitals, prescription drugs, specific and special health care, etc.
Examples: 20-year-old making $20,000 - pays $400/year
45 year old making $60,000 - pays $2,700/year
50-year old making $1 million pays - $50,000/year
No need for private insurance companies, except for individuals who want additional private insurance, and private insurance would be the primary insurance carrier.
This would eliminate the need for the Anti-Trust exemptions legislation for Health Insurance companies which currently allows them to collude in setting prices and .
System of 3rd party administrators (new companies could form and would be paid by the federal government and be as independent contractors). There would be 3 tiers of administration.
1st tier is to approve coverage, doctor's cost, hospital cost, emergency treatment, etc. and paying of medical coverage (many 1st tier offices (mainly accountants and book-keepers) needed to pay claims/bills of doctors, hospitals).
2nd Tier (regional) organization would make decisions on abnormal treatment that would be needed while possibly using the Air Force Reserve and National Guard to fly/move patients across the country (if needed). This tier would also decide where individuals would be sent and the best possible place (hospital/medical facility) for treatment (cancer, burn victims, transplants, etc.).
3rd Tier (one place in one city made up of many experienced professionals) to set policy, appeals, set compensation for doctors, hospital compensation, medicine prices, and settle disputes. This tier also acts as a clearing court for disputes and challenges between doctors and hospitals concerning coverage, benefits & compensation.
This 3-tier approach would take individuals out of the payment process, eliminating haggling with doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, etc.
Products (medicines, serums, drugs, etc.) and services involved in health care would no longer be delivered, manufactured, or produced by publicly traded companies. Health-related businesses could not be publicly traded companies but would be private or employee-owned businesses. Health Insurance would be administered for individuals by a group of independent professionals and not through current insurance companies. Premiums would be based on lifestyle and basic health standards, i.e. smoking, overweight, high blood pressure, illegal drug use, excessive alcohol use would be more costly.
Health Care solutions must include Tort Reform that limits liability for pain and suffering. This cuts malpractice premiums and reduces the cost of needless “Defensive” tests. The law should allow posting of local prescription drug prices on the internet so that providers can shop for the lowest price. Would encourage the medical industry to digitize medical records to reduce paperwork related costs.
Create new Federal Revenue Dept - No more IRS
Corporate/Business Tax = Percentage of (Government Expenditures)/GDP is approximately 33%. So, tie the corporate tax rate to total yearly government spending and use the percentage of all/total Government Expenditure (not just the planned Government Budget Proposal) as the new corporate tax rate. Tax on corporations, companies, corporate investments, equal to the same percentage as government expenditures divided by total GDP. The more government spending without an increase in GDP, the more corporate tax rate would rise. As the government spends more money, maybe the business community could hold down government spending. Most government spending goes to big companies, so as government spending goes up, the income of corporate businesses goes up. Therefore, it should be fair that the corporate tax rate increases as federal government expenditures increase.
Individual Federal Income Tax = 8 to 10 Percent – Flat Rate Tax - plus an additional 2% used to pay off the national debt. No income tax on individuals or families below the defined “poverty level", No tax on dividends, interests, investments for individuals making less than the combined income of $250,000 or some agreed limit. Individuals making above 2 million would incur an increased tax rate % to that of Congressional spending (anything above 2 million or 5 million or some agreed amount). This includes the same % tax on commercial/private rental income, sports income, lottery and gambling winnings, inheritance, business investments, illegal activities, prostitution, and/or other methods of making over 2 million dollars a year.
If corporations are making money (above some defined amount, i.e. 2-5 million dollars) by investing in the stock market, rental income, property, or any method other than in their manufacturing or service specialty, the corporation would pay the rate as the percentage of Congressional spending. The idea behind this tax rate is for corporations "to stick to what they do best" and not speculate in other markets, causing these markets to fluctuate up-down without a reason other than the speculation in the market. Limit Congressional spending to some percentage of the GDP.
All immigrants (non-legals) to register within 90 days or some agreed time period. All non-registered immigrants after 90 days to take their chance with the law, with ICE, and with deportation (new federal law). The only way for non-legals to obtain citizenship would be to register. All companies to assure that no illegal immigrants are working in their company and penalty for this oversight and mistake would equal twice their normal corporate income tax. All illegal employees would be fined at twice their annual salary.
Illegals found randomly would be arrested/fined and sent back to the naturalized country and each country would be fined for each illegal person. All new illegals would be sent to a holding camp until returned to their naturalized country. A governmental determination would be made on how many legal immigrants will be granted U.S. citizenship based on numbers registered vs. the number of illegal residents.
All newborns in the U.S. would be citizens only if at least one of their parents are U.S. citizens – new U.S. federal law & policy.
Mexican, Central American, and South American governments to issue a statement to their residents about new US immigration policy and deportation.
All money orders, Western Union money transfers, or bank wire transfers to Mexico, South America, Canada, or other foreign countries by illegal immigrants, are to stopped temporarily until the U.S. gets a handle on illegals. Individuals would be required to obtain a federal certificate in order to send money overseas via money order, bank wire transfers or Western Union, money transfer, or at any Walmart, or by any other method.
No one could legally open a checking account, have a credit card, obtain a driver's license without a federal identification number, or pictured SS card. All Social Security Cards should be a picture ID card (new federal requirement standard) and required for voting and identification.
Secondly - have the US help Mexico, Central & South American countries economically, politically, and provide national security for their banking regulations, and to stabilize their money supply. Use the new Latin American Economic Corps to help educate with qualified teachers and develop personal property rights and provide the law to change immigration laws for Central and South American countries who wish to partner with the US.
The US to help finance, build, and maintain high-speed railroad through Central America. Develop a large container rail port next to the Panama Canal with railroads extending through Mexico and up next to the east side of the Rocky Mountains.
Third - Use technology to catch illegally entering people/cargo along all borders (land and sea) of US using drones/cameras manned by retired individuals across the country (via the web) rather than older/retired individuals wasting their time on Facebook/Twitter and at gambling casinos.
Congressional term limits - both Houses, Abolition of the filibuster, Elimination of Electoral College, Voting by cell phone, Voting on all congressional bills becomes a requirement. Change the Supreme Court’s max time in office, Change in the Secretary of State time in office, Congressional representatives should be required to resign their office before running for another elective office (which is only fair to the voters who elected that candidate in their state).
Limits on congressional campaign spending, thereby the most efficient and effective campaign, the better the chance in winning.
Eliminate and make unlawful the nepotism for all of Congress.
Eliminate all polling 4 weeks before any election (federal, state, or local).
Assure accurate/verifiable vote-counting by creating a new voting system that can't be hacked or manipulated.
Need at least 4 years in Congress to receive retirement income. No federal retirement income for retired Congressmen with income above 300 thousand dollars. Time for Representatives/Senators to give back to the community they claim they help so much.
I support, The Anti-Corruption Act which states:
Stop political bribery, making it illegal for politicians to accept money from the special interests and (PACs) they regulate.
End secret money, making political spending public and transparent so Americans can know who's buying influence in the election process.

Interest on the debt is about $ 1 billion/day.
How to solve this debt problem is a national security necessity.
The installation of a wind and/or solar power generator for each new home or remodeled home where efficient. These products/appliances are needed for the reduction of carbon dioxide created by the fossil fuel energy needed to power these homes. A small, token response to global warming.

Reporting time changed into 3 categories for businesses with more than 6 employees to cut down on traffic, waste of energy, pollution, carbon dioxide and possible reduction in global warming. Make knowledgeable to all US citizens “voting mechanics”, the same voting method used within all states and territories and a means to verify each vote cast. A feedback system based on one's individual SS number. No more assuming that voting is not being physically or software manipulated. Need Edward Snowden's help to verify the validity and security of a new system. If software manufacturers and online retailers can assure and rely on providing secure access to passwords, then why couldn't the same technology be used for a secure voting process.
Voting could/should be over a 3 to 4-day process, starting on a Friday evening and continuing until Monday night. Results or election results would not be released until Monday night.
No polling permitted or polling information released 4 weeks before any election. This would prevent voters from using the election process as if it was betting on the outcome of a horse race, football, baseball, or basketball game.
Every US citizen would have a valid pictured SS card and would be automatically registered for voting in their state and for national elections. Pictured SS card needed & required to vote in all national elections.
The epitome of a representative democracy is not simply “voting when required” as suggested by the press and political candidates, but actually “running for office”. Actually participating in the election process by running for elected office is the epitome of a representative democracy.
Enact a two to three-day "wait to sell" or "wait to buy" stocks or bonds. Stocks obtained by middle-class Americans are used as a method to offset inflation and therefore not to be manipulated by high-speed computers and insider trading (which is definitely going on). Having a "wait period" before the purchase or sale of all stocks and bonds by everyone including investing firms would make the system equitable for all middle-class American investors
Across the US, voting zones (congressional districts) would be determined by natural boundaries and geometric designs (like a segmented pie or grid system). Borders/voting zones to be set up by US Geological Survey.
Updated and/or revise the laws for fair trade not free trade.
New fair trade requirements for companies leaving the US and importing manufactured products back into the US. So US citizens would purchase products and goods based on “quality of the product” not “ the price of the product”.
Requiring all TV and radio stations to provide free air time for “ political info-mericals”. This would give all political candidates access to free TV, and radio air time. Broadcast time allotted to all candidates, no exceptions. Would create a way to allow free access of written info for all candidates in local newspapers.
No political polls to be conducted within 4 months of an election. The election of all US representatives (local and national) needs to be based on the conviction of individual evaluation, not on the politics of a political poll.
There are many types of censuses the federal government conducts.
Use existing info on federal income tax returns for the population census. No representation without taxation, so to vote you must pay your taxes, no pay....no play! The info developed by the required US decade census is used by big businesses for competitive purposes and is detrimental to middle and lower class US residents. The number of US Representatives is capped at 435, so saying the census is proportionate to the increase of the local population is false. So shifting population might move US representatives from one state into another state, but this info could be derived from federal income tax forms. How many people actually respond to the census and are the answers accurate ?
Have to repeal Article 1, Section 2 of the Constitution to fix the above problem.
Also use the percentage of actuall voters compared to number of income tax returns to determine the porportion of revenue sharing provided by the federal governemt. A higher percentage would mean a larger amount of revenue received by each community, state, organization. An incentive for people to vote!!
Reform the reporting and management of credit scores. Credit scores is a virtual highway robbery network perpetrated on lower and middle class Americans robbing potential buying power for all lower and middle class Americans. So, one partial fix would only allow the last 10 years of credit history to be subject for review. Credit scores to be only used for late/failure of regular scheduled recurring payments. A “credit score” is not a panacea for loan companies, banks, or mortgage companies to obtain excessive profits and/or allow predatory lending practices.
There is too much fraud and illegal activity involving paper money. Paper money is too easily shipped illegally out of the country. A one dollar bill is more expensive to make/print than one dollar (not efficient or practical). Eliminate the penny and the nickel and produce/mint a one dollar and four dollar coin and mainly use credit card for purchase of goods. Could track illegal activities and cut-down on illegal activities by using credit cards for large transactions. Also most all credit card transaction would allow for a set price/fee for making the transaction not a percentage of the transaction as is now the case.
Insidious banking exchange activity and should be outlawed in the US and its territories. Only Congress has the legal authority to coin and regulate the money supply - Article 1, Section 8, Clause 5 of the Constitution. No American or any foreign bank in the US should be allowed to exchange BitCoin (or any other web-based money/coin) for legal tender. Promotes illegal & criminal activities and a way of paying for crimes and unlawful activities.
Congress needs to protect the lower and middle class when products are deemed inelastic. Three needed commodities that are inelastic are “prescription medicines”, "health insurance" and "gasoline". People who need “certain medicines” have no choice but to buy the medicine no matter what the price, their lives may depend on it. An artificial hike in price or “price gouging” by the manufacturer of inelastic commodities just because they can do it, is not acceptable. Congress should have the ability to step in…..control the price.. and then use the Small Business Administration to find/develop a company that would compete to make the same product at a reasonable, fair price. That is, for the SBA to create competition to make the price fair for the inelastic product. The same is true with gasoline. When the price of gasoline increases due to a lack of product, the price should not artificially inflate because there is less of it. If the cost has risen just because there is less of the product and charging more for the product is like hiking the price of electric generators after a hurricane or natural disaster, which is unlawful. Price could rise due to manufacturing cost or import costs but not because there is less quantity of an item. Congress should step in and take control of the price when artificial hikes occur.
If there is a lack or reduction in an inelastic commodity/product there should be regulation in the amount of product sold to each individual/customer.
Everyone to have a lock on all but one hand-gun and all rifles. Fully automatic rifles would be unlawful and not allowed for sale in the US. Ammunition also would be required to be "locked up". Heavy fines (percentage of income) for individuals found breaking these laws. If US citizens feel they require full automatic guns/rifles for protection then there are bigger problems within the country than the rights granted by the 2nd Amendment.
Criminals to be imprisoned only for violent armed offenses. Inmates to be involved in constructive labor (farming, manufacturing, maintenance, repair) - must work to eat and obtain shelter. Other non-violent convicted criminals to be required to have ankle/wrist monitors and allowed to only work specific jobs usually in state or local service jobs. Marijuana would be federally legal and up to individual companies to make specific requirements on the amount of marijuana and alcohol allowed to be consumed before starting work. For example, drinking alcohol is prohibited in the work place and before starting work so the use of marijuana would be prohibited in the work place and before starting work. Profits restricted and given to charity for convicted criminal that receive royalities from books, music, movies, interviews, articles, etc. which were related to their criminal activity
No more agriculture subsidies to big agriculture companies (farm & ranches) which makes over a certain gross income. All agriculture companies (farm & ranch) must grow their farmland products/cattle/ fish products while the US would maintain guaranteed prices by giving away grain/milk/beef products to the poor, hungry, the starving, and/or export to needy countries. Overproduced products would be collected, shipped & administered by the US military/military reserves. The US must renew its effort to promote the resurgence of the family farm and the family ranch and to guarantee that the family farm/ranch is an economic success rather than big agriculture and big business supplying this country's food requirement.
Have the US to re-institute the draft for about 75 to 80 percent of the population over age 18, to be fair, unbiased, nonsexist, and equal. This requirement would also pertain to females and to serve for a minimum 2 year period in one branch of the military or a National Service Organization. Individuals serving in a war zone during this period would receive a 15% reduction on their earned income taxes for life and all regular 4-year active-duty military would receive a 15% reduction on earned income taxes for 8 years. For two years of service in an NSO would receive a 10% reduction on earned income taxes for approximately 6 years. The US needs a way for this country to bring people together for a common goal, where people share and overcome hardships (rather than by fighting in a war) and realize that practicality is better than being politically correct.
The draft would be a way to assimilate all Americans into American democracy and experience the value of the working middle class in a tangible way and to show the outcome of working together is more than the sum of individual efforts.
The federal government should foster educational excellence by requiring public schools' curriculum to include minimum science, history and math classes via video instructional lectures that are used by all public schools across the entire country. Therefore all public school students are receiving the same level of education in these subjects and the same information. This would help future employers & colleges understand what level of education a particular high-school student had received. Schools receiving federal money would require all students to wear simple uniform of khaki or blue jean and simple t-shirts for male and female students. Personally, I would also have public schools teach practical home economics (insurance, home & auto finance, balancing a check-book, etc.) and all students not involved in competitive athletics would have three years of competitive chess. Students would learn how to lose and win within our US education system where "competition" produces many more losers than winners, which is also part of "education".
An educated public is an essential requirement of a free and expanding middle class. Progressive socialist ideas would have far greater difficulty implementing policies that undermine liberty and prosperity were they faced with an educated, informed, involved and vigilant population.
Allowing retired individuals below some given income level to invest a percentage of their non-earned income into an IRA or Roth account.
National Donor Program - default process would be, all organs from every deceased person would be allocated to a US territory donor program and one would have to go through a process to be eliminated from this default national donor program, rather than the other way around.
Illegal activities or lying (even for some supposed classified info) by government employees, Congress, the President, law enforcement, etc. should be reportable information (without reprise) and have no restriction on the individual/organization releasing the information.
There should be limits set on individuals receiving compensation for water damage on property and personal items (flood insurance) with a reduction in the percentages paid out based on the number of occurrences - more occurrences the less percentage received. Flood insurance should cover only one residence, their primary residence. Flood insurance by the federal government would not be for rental property, corporate retreat homes or vacation homes. The federal government should specify the minimum building requirement for homes covered under flood insurance.
All 18 wheeled trucks to drive in the right lane only and use immediate left lane for passing only. Would be illegal for 18 wheeler, tractor trailers and commercial trucks to drive in the far left lane on three-lane federal and interstate highway. All commercial trucks to maintain posted speed limit to reduce high speed accidents.
There should be federal employment hiring reform law concerning age discrimination in employment. Dates on employment applications would be declared illegal because dates define the age of the applicant. All American jobs should allow for a 4 week vacation - like our European counterparts.
There shall be no speech given by any member of Congress on the floor of both Houses except in English !!
The Iranian government wants the US to withdraw all troops from the Iraq/Afghanistan region. The US should agree to a withdraw if the Iranian government would issue a request to recall all Muslims living in the US and return the their country of origin. A proper quid pro quo!
The government will make available the way economic indicators and predictors are calculated in any and all agencies so the info can be checked and verified.
The elected justices of the US Supreme Court need to be limited to time in office to about 25 years or until the age of 75, whichever comes first. Without change there can be no progress. Justices should be willing to agree to these standards, realizing that all things come to an end and that holding on to a position requires more than just sitting in a chair and putting their name on a decision written by members of their staff and trying to arrive at some mutual understanding between the justices. Nine members on the court are far too many, and the history of the Supreme Court suggests it could be limited to five (5) members.
The sale and distribution of marijuana would be legal, but using the substance might be prohibited by the employer. An employer could decree (within legal medical boundaries) that a specified amount could be considered a safety factor and the employee removed for cause if above specified amount. Something like the US prohibition law of 1919 & the 18th amendment, but in reverse.

It is now the 21st century, and now to become a US citizen, new requirements and laws are needed. So if this new law was enacted, at least one parent must be a US citizen and the US parent must be with the infant when born. If an infant were born in the US and neither parent a US citizen then the newborn would not be a US citizen. This would close a loop-hole in the US immigration policy. If the father is the US citizen, it means both parents must be in the hospital/area when the baby is born.
Need to change the reqirements for the members of the Bar, Medical & Engineering and other Associations that resolves disputes of wrong-doing & malpractice to include more diverse backgrounds, (i.e., nurses, teachers, police, clergy, scientists, accountants, etc.) in their associations to accommodate a more equitable and suitable outcome because in most disputes the outcome seems unfair to the complainant.
China must know that it is legally & partially responsible for the compensation regarding the problems associated with the COVID 19 virus pandemic. That is why they are refusing to acknowledge they were experimenting with the virus and they lost control/containment of the virus. Therefore, the government of China is financially responsible for the reimbursement of income/monies lost to US citizens, businesses, etc. due to the virus impact.
It is/was a requirement for the president to give up his financial interest in businesses that he has ties to. So, should it be, that all elected officials not be allowed to trade (sell/buy) stocks while serving as an elected official because of possible insider trading, confidential info obtained, or time sensitive trading info.
There is far too much money collected in the name of charities, only to find out most of the money is not going to the charities, but into the pockets of the people who run them. So when there is advertisement for interstate or international transfer of funds, the US should require that at least 80% of all dollars go directly to the charity and that all financial records be reviewed by a paid accounting firm.
It is time to eliminate the Electoral College so that elections are like most all other national elections. There should be an open primary in which all candidates participate and the top two candidates proceed to a general election in which the candidates with the most votes wins.
"One Person - One Vote"
It is time that all profitable entities pay a fair share of their profits to offset the rising financial cost to administer services and receive protection by the government which allow these organization to grow and remain independent. So above some define maximum salary or compensation for religious individuals (priests, ministers, evangelists, etc.) would be taxed.
An new independent third party agency, overseen by Congress, must monitor and curtail the increase of information obtained by all companies, federal agencies and foreign governments, via the internet, phone, cameras, etc., in order to restrict financial, political, private and personal information that helps these entities separate you from your money and monitor your personal transactions for dubious reasons. Again, need Edward Snowden's help in setting up a system to identify an effective monitoring program to curtail surveillance capitalism .
Chinese foreign nationals are acting like independent foreign intelligence spies. These foreign nationals individuals are not reporting US business and political info as news for the people of China, but info for the Chinese government to gain political and economic advantage. These type of Chinese nationals need to be expelled.
All advertisement that mentions or claims to be "Free" or " At No Charge" would actually be free and at no charge to the customer and no monies would be required for any product, sample, etc. sent or supplied to customer. This idea of "free" should have been and should be included in any "Truth in Advertisement" law.
All patents on software would be granted a specific type design patent and there would be no more "method" patents issued. Could create a new area of patents for software like the one used for plants. Eliminate "Patent Trolls" that use and exploit the legal system on patent infringements. With the new income tax proposal, listed in this website, the amount of money given to charity by large corporations will dry-up. There needs to be some way to replace these funds going to charity and I can think of no better proposal than to have major league sports organizations providing the new method of revenue (about 10%) to charities.
